It's very rare that I attempt doing anything with colored pencils instead of my usual digital coloring. It's been literally years since the last time I touched colored pencils. But for some reason I woke up today feeling like giving them a whirl again, and this is what I came up with.

Before posting this, I did a little search on DA to see what comes up when you type in both "Pokemon" and "Pirate versus Ninja". Not a lot of results at all, and none of them featured Pokemon characters who officially are ninjas OR pirates. I'm glad I could finally correct that oversight!

Here we have Janine, ninja and the second Fuschia City Gym Leader from the Pokemon games and manga, against pirate captain Phantom, from the ninth Pokemon movie! And something about the course this duel has taken makes me think of Peter Pan somehow...
